Writing.- Postal traffic to the United States plummeted more than 80% after the imposition of new tariffs by Washington, with 88 operators worldwide suspending their services in whole or in part, reported on Saturday the Universal Postal Union.
The UPU, the United Nations postal cooperation agency, is working on the "rapid development of a new technical solution that will help reactivate mail to the United States", declared its director general, Masahiko Metoki, in a statement.
