The Hague,.- Dutch Prime Minister Dick Schoof announced this Tuesday that the entire government "falls," after the five ministers affiliated with Geert Wilders' radical right-wing PVV submitted their resignations, which prevents the continuation of a minority cabinet and leads the Netherlands to new general elections, a year and a half after the previous ones.
In a press conference following a cabinet meeting of almost two hours, Schoof announced that he will now go to the palace to present his resignation to King Willem-Alexander, and that, from then on, the cabinet will become "resigned", which means that they will only handle current affairs, setting aside the most controversial ones.

“In the council of ministers, we discussed the current situation and concluded that with the departure of the PVV, there is no longer sufficient support in Parliament for this cabinet,” Schoof stated, emphasizing that he considers the fall of the government to be “unnecessary and irresponsible.”
