Santiago. – The presiding judge of the Supreme Court of Justice (SCJ), Henry Molina, led this Friday the Northern Regional Meeting for the implementation of the Justice Plan 2034, where goals were presented to strengthen the digitalization of judicial services, increase case resolution, and consolidate an institutional culture of teamwork. During the meeting, Molina highlighted that the northern region has favorable conditions to promote improvements in the judicial service, including the high level of training of the staff and the performance of its courts. In that context, he explained that one of the main challenges is to advance the digitalization of services, with the goal that 80% of judicial procedures be carried out virtually by the year 2026, which will allow expanding citizens' access to justice services. Likewise, it was pointed out that the strengthening of the resolution culture seeks to ensure that 30 out of every 100 non-criminal cases are resolved through alternative dispute resolution methods, contributing to a more agile justice system that is closer to the people.

Magistrate Molina also highlighted the performance of judges in the region, who maintain evaluation levels of 100% in performance, which he described as an important basis for continuing to promote institutional transformations.

"Justice is not dispensed in isolation; we must work as a single team, a single system, because the transformation of justice is built every day," said the chief justice.

Results and goals of the North Region During the meeting, indicators on the current performance of the region and the projected goals within the Justice Plan 2034 were presented. Currently, 7 out of 10 cases are resolved in less than a year, with the goal of reaching 9 out of 10. Likewise, 8 out of 10 courts are up to date, and the objective is to achieve 100% of courts without delay. In terms of agile justice, 75% of strategic positions are filled within the established timeframe, with the goal of reaching 95%. Regarding the criminal management model, 38 out of 100 cases use early releases, with a projection of reaching 90 out of 100, while in the digital field only 10 out of 100 procedures are currently carried out online, a figure that is expected to rise to 80%.
