Santo Domingo. – The Director General of Customs, Eduardo “Yayo” Sanz Lovatón, stated this Wednesday that the arrival of the first Amazon Air cargo flight to the Dominican Republic is a clear sign that the country is moving in the right direction in terms of logistics.
During the welcoming ceremony at Las Américas International Airport, Sanz Lovatón stated:
"We welcome you to the Dominican Republic, which today begins its operation of bringing cargo to the Dominican Republic, with seven flights a week planned, and this is a further demonstration that the Dominican Republic is on the right track in logistics activity."
The official indicated that the presence of Amazon Air represents a historic step for the strengthening of the sector and places the country in a strategic position in the region.
