Washington, USA – The President of the United States, Donald Trump, lashed out early this Monday against his Russian counterpart, Vladimir Putin, by stating that “he has gone absolutely crazy” and that he is “unnecessarily killing a lot of people, and I'm not just talking about soldiers.”
Through a post on his social network Truth Social, Trump assured that he always maintained a good relationship with the Kremlin leader, but that something has changed. “I have always had a very good relationship with Vladimir Putin (…), but something has happened to him. He has gone absolutely crazy. Missiles and unmanned aircraft are being fired against cities in Ukraine, for no reason,” wrote the former president.

In his message, Trump warned that if Putin insists on trying to control all of Ukraine and not just a part, “it will lead to the fall of Russia.”
The former head of state also did not spare criticism of the Ukrainian president, Volodymyr Zelensky, of whom he said that “he does not do his country any favors by speaking as he does.” “Everything that comes out of his mouth causes problems, I don't like it, and it would be better if he stopped,” he said.
Zelensky, for his part, had stated on Sunday that “the silence of America, and the silence of others in the world, only emboldens Putin”, in reference to the lack of international response to the latest Russian attacks.
Trump also directly blamed President Joe Biden for the conflict in Eastern Europe. “The war in Ukraine would have never started if I were president,” he said.
To conclude, the Republican described the conflict as "Zelensky's, Putin's, and Biden's war, not Trump's," assuring that he is only trying to "extinguish the big and ugly fires that have been started through great incompetence and hatred."
