Santo Domingo.- The Dominican Institute of Meteorology (Indomet), reported this Tuesday morning that from early hours, scattered rainfall will continue to occur, being more frequent and intense after midday with electrical storms and wind gusts over several municipalities and communities of the provinces; La Altagracia, La Romana, El Seibo, Hato Mayor, Monte Plata, San Pedro de Macorís, the Gran Santo Domingo, San Cristóbal, Monseñor Nouel, San José de Ocoa, Azua, La Vega, Santiago, Santiago Rodríguez, Dajabón, Peravia, San Juan, Elías Piña, Baoruco, Independencia, Pedernales and Barahona, among other locations.

Said rains will be indirectly associated with a trough linked to a low-pressure system located over the Atlantic Ocean, in addition to the influence of the northeast wind and the local effects, typical of the national geography.

The temperatures will be perceived as slightly warm during the afternoon. However, they will become pleasant during the night, early morning, and early hours of the morning, mainly in mountainous areas, as well as valleys in the interior of the Dominican territory. Also, there are favorable conditions for some fogs or mists to occur.

Tomorrow Wednesday, the forecasts indicate a gradual decrease in humidity over our forecast area. However, the incidence of a weak trough, in addition to the influence of the northeast wind, will cause cloud increases accompanied by scattered showers, locally moderate at times with isolated thunderstorms and wind gusts in different provinces of the regions; northeast, southeast (including Greater Santo Domingo), southwest and the Central Mountain Range. We expect these conditions to be present during the night, gradually decreasing as the hours pass.

National District: partly cloudy to overcast with light to moderate showers, thunderstorms and isolated wind gusts.

Santo Domingo Norte: partly cloudy to cloudy with light to moderate showers, thunderstorms and isolated wind gusts.

Santo Domingo Este: partly cloudy to cloudy at times. Weak to moderate rains, thunderstorms and isolated wind gusts.

Santo Domingo Oeste: partly cloudy to overcast with light to moderate showers, thunderstorms and isolated wind gusts.

Temperatures: the minimum will be between 21 °C and 23 °C, and the maximum between 31 °C and 33 °C.
