In the festive atmosphere that surrounds Villa Navidad, one of the most popular and anticipated spaces for Dominican families in the Juan Pablo Duarte Olympic Center, a silent but deeply significant work is carried out: the promotion of values that strengthen coexistence, harmony in the home, and the protection of women. Amidst lights, music, and recreational activities, the National Police stand, which recreates a modern police station and has captured the public's attention, brings together various instances of the institution, such as the Specialized Directorate for Women's and Intrafamily Violence Attention (DEAMVI), which offer prevention and education guidance in a close and accessible way for citizens.

Under the direction of General Celeste Yanet Jiménez, DEAMVI has designed a strategic work approach that leverages the high influx of visitors to remind them of the importance of respect, dialogue, and mutual protection within the family. The staff operating in this space guides children, young people, and adults on essential topics such as the prevention of domestic violence, the identification of warning signs, the importance of seeking help in time, and the available routes to report situations that violate the rights of any member of the household. The central message is simple, but of enormous value: family harmony begins at home, but is strengthened with information and accompaniment. Christmas Village, an initiative of the Presidency of the Republic, the First Lady, and the Mayor's Office of the National District, has established itself as a setting of joy and community unity. Among attractions, shows, and safe recreation spaces, it also offers a place for institutions that work for social welfare. In this context, the presence of the National Police, led by Major General Ramón Antonio Guzmán Peralta, reaffirms the State's commitment to building a culture of peace and protecting women, children, and families. General Jiménez has highlighted on several occasions the value of interacting with families in a relaxed environment, where closeness facilitates dialogue and reflection. For many visitors, it is positive to see the National Police in an educational role, accompanying citizens and offering tools to manage situations that, frequently, are lived in silence. The personalized orientations, informative material, and dynamics developed during the sessions have allowed us to raise awareness among hundreds of people, especially about the early detection of signs of violence and the search for timely help.
