The Quisqueyan center finished with 17 points and 11 rebounds, including a decisive three-pointer at the start of the last quarter, which set the course for a resounding reaction from the Knicks, who dominated 31-15 in the final period to seal their third consecutive victory, their best streak since the end of December. Jalen Brunson led the New York offense with 28 points, 11 of them in the last 3:48 of the game. Mikal Bridges added 18 units, while OG Anunoby contributed 15 points, all the starters in double figures. From the bench, Mitchell Robinson grabbed 13 rebounds. For the Kings, DeMar DeRozan was the top scorer of the match with 34 points, although his performance did not prevent Sacramento's sixth consecutive loss. Domantas Sabonis signed a double-double of 11 points and 12 rebounds, in addition to seven assists, and Russell Westbrook added 14 units. Substitute Dylan Cardwell added 10 rebounds.

Alternative Party

New York took an early lead by closing the first quarter up 36-26, but the game remained close in the next two periods. DeRozan scored seven consecutive points to give Sacramento their only lead of the second quarter (51-50), before a Towns layup, with 14 seconds left before halftime, put the Knicks back in front. The third quarter was intense, with four lead changes and two ties, the last after a basket by Nique Clifford that tied the score at 72 with 36.8 seconds remaining. At the start of the fourth quarter, a turnover caused by Landry Shamet ended in Towns' three-pointer, a play that ignited the definitive breakaway. Minutes later, Bridges completed an alley-oop after a pass from Josh Hart and, in the next possession, Towns punished again from long distance to extend the lead to 80-74, sealing the game. With the victory, the Knicks remain firm in the fight for the Atlantic Division lead, backed by the consistency of their Dominican center, who is going through one of the most solid seasons of his career.
