Baní is officially declared "Mango Capital" by Congress

The plenary session of the Chamber of Deputies approved in two consecutive sessions and turned into law the project that declares the city of Baní as "Mango Capital", an initiative presented by Senator Julito Fulcar.

This legislation aims to officially recognize Baní, the capital of the homonymous municipality and Peravia province, as the main national reference in mango production, highlighting its agricultural, economic, and cultural importance.

Furthermore, it seeks to strengthen its position as the permanent venue for the mango fair, an event that attracts both producers and national and international visitors, thus promoting tourism, trade, and local development around this emblematic fruit of the region.
