Santo Domingo. – The Emergency Operations Center (COE) reported this Monday that it has decided to postpone the 5th National Earthquake Evacuation Drill, which was initially scheduled for this Wednesday, October 23, due to the adverse weather conditions affecting the country.
According to the statement published on its social media, the measure is taken in response to the alerts issued by the organization, as a result of the rains that are being recorded and those that are forecast for the coming days.
The drill has been rescheduled for Wednesday, November 5th at 10:00 AM, with the aim of ensuring the safety of participants and facilitating the correct development of the exercise.

The COE reiterates its commitment to risk prevention and management, and urges citizens to remain attentive to official reports on the evolution of weather conditions.
