Thailand has launched airstrikes in a disputed area on its border with Cambodia, violating a ceasefire, according to media.
The Cambodian side denounces that Thai troops opened fire shortly after 5:00 a.m. (local time) in Preah Vihear province. Tank cannons, among other weapons, were reportedly fired, including towards the Tamoan Thom temple. Clashes between the Thai and Cambodian Armies occurred in multiple positions.
At least one soldier has died due to a Cambodian attack on the Thai air base of Anupong, while two others have been injured.
In response, Bangkok has sent several F-16 aircraft to attack enemy positions.
