The Russian Ministry of Defense reported this Friday on the conquest of two locations in Ukraine as part of the advance of Russian forces in the east of the country.
This concerns the villages of Muravka (in the Donetsk region) and Novoivanivka (in Zaporizhzhia), according to the military report.
The conquest of Muravka takes place within the framework of the efforts of the Russian Army to approach the Ukrainian stronghold of Sloviansk.
On September 15th, Russian forces reported the capture of two locations in the Ukrainian region of Dnipropetrovsk.
After reaching the border between the Donetsk regions - annexed by Russia in 2022 along with Lugansk, Zaporizhzhia and Kherson - and Dnipropetrovsk, Russian forces maintained their offensive westward and began to occupy towns in the latter.
On Wednesday, the chief of the Russian General Staff, Army General Valery Gerasimov, stated that Russian forces are advancing "practically in all sectors" of the Ukrainian front.
