New York.- At least two people, including a girl, died and three others were injured this Monday in a shooting that occurred during a hockey game on an ice rink in Pawtucket, in the state of Rhode Island (USA), where the attacker also died, according to reports from authorities and local media.
According to WJAR, which cites the Mayor's Office, one of the deceased is a girl and the other has not been identified.
CNN, citing police sources, indicates that the incident appears to stem from a domestic dispute, as the aggressor shot at members of his own family.

The incident occurred this afternoon during a hockey game between high school teams held at the covered ice rink of the Lynch Arena in the town, the report adds. Rhode Island Governor Dan McKee indicated on X that authorities are investigating the shooting and that he is in contact with the mayor, Donald Grebien, as well as state and local police forces. The federal Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms is assisting in the investigation and numerous police officers have been deployed to the stadium, according to images published on social media.
