Turnberry (EFE).- The United States and the European Union have reached a tariff agreement that includes 15% tariffs on European products, as well as purchases of energy and US military equipment by the EU, US President Donald Trump announced on Sunday.
Following a meeting in Turnberry (UK), Trump said that, under this agreement, the EU agrees to buy energy from his country worth $750 billion and invest $600 billion more than it currently does in military equipment.
Washington, for its part, will apply a fixed tariff to Community imports, including automobiles, of 15%, instead of the 30% with which it had threatened from August if there was no agreement.
