Southern Titans dominate from long distance and put the Lions against the ropes in Semifinal B

Santo Domingo. The Titanes del Sur put the Leones de Santo Domingo in check by winning with a score of 95-82 in the second game of the Semifinal B of the National Basketball League (LNB), played before a vibrant fanbase at the Club Mauricio Báez.

The dynamic duo of Jassel Pérez and Richard Bautista led the Titans' offense by combining for 14 three-pointers made, key on a night when the southern team shot an impressive 50% effectiveness behind the arc (34-17).

Pérez shined with 28 points, 8 rebounds, and 7 assists, scoring 8 three-pointers in 13 attempts, while Bautista added 21 points and 4 assists, including 6 of 9 in three-point shots. Jhonatan Araujo contributed a double-double of 13 points and 13 rebounds, Xavier Reyes added 11 points and 8 rebounds, and the Jamaican Tyran De Lattibeaudiere collaborated with 11 points. Luis David Montero had a complete performance with 9 points, 11 rebounds, 7 assists, and 3 steals.

For the Leones, Evander Ortiz stood out in his debut with 14 points, hitting 6 of 10 field goals. Gerardo Suero and Sterling Manley contributed 12 points each, while Jayson Valdez finished with 11 points and 5 assists.

The partial scores of the match favored the Titans in three of the four quarters: 24-20, 21-22, 31-23 and 19-17.

With this result, the Titans put the series 2-0 in their favor and are one win away from advancing to the grand final. The third game will be played this Thursday at 8:00 p.m. at the Polideportivo de San Cristóbal.
