Santiago.– The Ministry of Culture announced this Wednesday the main guidelines of the Cibao Regional Book and Culture Fair, conceived as a space to celebrate reading, thought, and the cultural richness of the north of the country, with the participation of the 14 provinces of the region.
The first fair edition will be held on April 19, 2026, while the activities will take place from April 20 to 26 in the Heart City, the latter date on which the closing of the event will take place. Other spaces in which the more than one hundred scheduled activities will take place are the León Center, the Banreserva Cultural Centers and the Ercilia Pepín Santiago Culture Center. Likewise, it was announced that the fair will give visibility to cultural initiatives promoted by the Senate of the Republic, through a joint agenda with the senatorial offices of the provinces, as part of an effort to strengthen the link between culture, territory and legislative management. The 2026 edition of the Cibao Regional Book and Culture Fair will be dedicated to Ulises Francisco Espaillat on the occasion of the bicentenary of his birth.
