Santo Domingo.- The Dominican Republic's Meteorology Institute (Indomet) reported that a tropical wave located over the eastern portion of the country, moving rapidly westward, will be combining with a trough at different levels of the troposphere to contribute to some cloud developments generating local showers with possible thunderstorms and occasional wind gusts.
These precipitations will be more frequent and intense over the provinces of La Altagracia, Samaná and Monseñor Nouel, in the morning hours. However, during the afternoon the precipitations will move towards other sectors of the country, in the form of showers with possible thunderstorms and occasional wind gusts such as Monte Plata, Azua, San Juan, Santiago Rodríguez, Dajabón, Montecristi, Santiago, Espaillat and Elías Piña, While for the rest of the country, a sky with scattered clouds with slight cloud increases will predominate.

For Wednesday, we will observe a sunny and grayish environment in the Dominican Republic, both due to the anticyclonic system and the incursion of new Saharan dust particles. Only some local showers with isolated thunderstorms are expected over Monte Plata, Santo Domingo, Monseñor Nouel, La Vega, San José de Ocoa, San Juan, among others, mainly in the afternoon, due to orographic effects plus wind drag.
National District: Slight cloud increases and isolated showers.
Santo Domingo North: slight cloud cover increases, local showers and isolated thunderstorms.
Santo Domingo Este: Slight cloud increases, local showers and isolated thunderstorms. Santo Domingo Oeste: Slight cloud increases, local showers and isolated thunderstorms. Temperatures: the minimum will be between 21 °C and 23 °C, and the maximum between 33 °C and 35 °C.
