BHD opens training center for its staff in the northern region

This new training area offers programs on topics of professional and personal interest to continue boosting BHD talent. Santiago.- Banco BHD inaugurated a training center for its employees in the northern region, as part of its commitment to the creation and promotion of development spaces for its human talent.   This new training space, located in Santiago de los Caballeros, has two rooms with a capacity for more than 60 people, as well as a self-development classroom with digital equipment so that staff can access the BHD Digital Academy, the bank's virtual training platform.

"Our comprehensive approach is to work for the economic and human success of people, and there is no better way to achieve this than by empowering them through development. Therefore, we are determined to foster learning environments for our main asset: our employees," highlighted Martha Peralta, Senior Vice President of Talent and Culture at Banco BHD.

In 2024, Banco BHD trained more than 6,500 employees and invested 357,000 training hours, with a 45% increase compared to 2023. "This year we want to expand those opportunities, with this new center that opens in the Cibao, we will increase the knowledge and skills of our human talent throughout the northern zone," Peralta pointed out.

The new training center in Santiago joins the proposal of constant education for its collaborators. In 2009, the Samuel S. Conde Training Center opened in Santo Domingo as a training academy for its staff, offering courses in information security, risk, business, anti-money laundering, communication, service, personal branding, among other topics. In August 2022, combining its digital transformation strategy and in-person initiatives, the Bank launched its BHD Digital Academy, a platform for virtual training that aims to promote the professional and personal development of its employees. In addition, it has the integration of international e-learning platforms, thus allowing employees to continue managing their self-development.
