Bayahíbe. – The municipal director of Bayahíbe, Yesenia Brito, expressed her gratitude to the Minister of Tourism, David Collado, for the support provided in the work of organizing the public spaces of the tourist destination.
During his intervention, Brito requested support for wastewater management, given the overflows affecting some tourist areas, underlining the importance of protecting the environment, public health, and the image of Bayahíbe.
Likewise, the official requested support for essential community projects, including the construction of a children's playground, the development of a multipurpose space to complement the central park in front of the town hall, as well as the installation of a fire station, the asphalting of five streets, and the construction of a hospital.

The project, inaugurated, had an investment of RD$213,467,118, was carried out in approximately 26 thousand square meters, on land mostly donated by Central Romana. The parking lot has 159 spaces for light vehicles, 58 for motorcycles and 66 for buses, in addition to 2,364 square meters of sidewalks, rainwater drainage, paving, signage, bollards, trash cans, benches, a path and a pedestrian bridge. It also includes public bathrooms, POLITUR security booths, lighting, landscaping and species such as gri-gri, Mara, Almácigo and Roblillo to beautify the space.
During the intervention of Minister David Collado, he responded directly to the solutions for this demarcation. In turn, he highlighted that the Dominican Republic plans to close the year with 11.6 million visitors, consolidating the country as one of the main tourist destinations in the Caribbean.
Highlighting that Bayahibe reinforces its commitment to organized, safe, and sustainable tourism, while continuing to work on projects that positively impact its community.
