Santo Domingo. - Second Lieutenant Melissa Delgado, a member of the National District Fire Department, starred in an act of bravery and sensitivity by resuscitating three kittens with an oxygen mask, after rescuing them along with their mother from a fire that occurred on the afternoon of this Friday at Ferretería San Miguel, located at kilometer 7 of Independencia Avenue.
The emotional moment was captured in images that quickly circulated on social media, where the officer is seen providing oxygen to the small felines affected by smoke inhalation, managing to stabilize them after being removed from the area affected by the flames.
Similarly, the Dominican Civil Defense maintains a large deployment of personnel supporting the response efforts to the fire recorded at Ferretería San Miguel, located on Independencia Avenue, where the fire has been controlled in approximately 50%, after several hours of continuous work.
