Guadalajar.- Singer Joan Manuel Serrat starred this Thursday in a controversial moment in Mexico by leaving for a few minutes annoyed a talk that was one of the most anticipated activities of the Guadalajara International Book Fair (FIL), which takes place in this city, although he later returned to the stage before an audience eager for his stories.
The singer left the Juan Rulfo auditorium, which was opened to its maximum capacity, but it was not enough for the thousands of people who gathered hours before to see the performer up close, who arrives in Guadalajara heading the Barcelona delegation, guest of honor at the fair.
Serrat, 81 years old, left the talk 10 minutes after it started because the shouts of those who were left outside the auditorium did not allow him to hear his moderator, the Mexican writer Benito Taibo.
"I thank you all very much, I have traveled many kilometers to be here today, it was an extraordinary day for me, full of excitement, but it is impossible to have an act of such emotional depth as this one with the commotion that is going on out there. It's not my fault, please forgive me. Good afternoon," he said emphatically.
