Santo Domingo. – The former president of the Republic and leader of the Fuerza del Pueblo, Leonel Fernández, made a firm call to avoid any bloodshed in Venezuela, amid the military operation by the United States that continues to unfold in that country.
During a live broadcast via social media, Fernández maintained that the Venezuelan crisis must be resolved through internal political dialogue and consensus among Venezuelans themselves, as a way to achieve a lasting peace that guarantees civilized coexistence and the well-being of the population.
The former president recalled that the questioning of the legitimacy of the presidential elections of July 28, 2024 was the most recent trigger of the crisis, noting that results could not be proclaimed without the presentation of the scrutiny records.
