Ozuna drove in the decisive run with a sacrifice fly in the tenth inning, while Albies drove in two and scored one during an explosive eighth inning in which Atlanta scored eight runs. However, Cincinnati responded with eight runs in the same inning, thanks to home runs by Ke’Bryan Hayes and Spencer Steer, and a notable contribution from Dominican Elly de la Cruz, who hit a home run, scored twice and drove in three runs. According to MLB data, this was only the eighth time in the history of Major League Baseball that both teams scored eight or more runs in the same inning. Venezuelan Carlos Carrasco opened for the Braves with six solid innings of three runs, while Cuban Raisel Iglesias earned the save. Noelvi Marte also stood out for the Reds with two runs scored. In other results, the New York Yankees defeated the Tampa Bay Rays 7-4 with home runs by Ben Rice and Giancarlo Stanton. Marcus Stroman pitched five quality innings and the Dominican Yerry de los Santos worked three scoreless innings with five strikeouts. Jonathan Loáisiga closed with an impeccable ninth for the save. The Seattle Mariners blanked the Texas Rangers 6-0 with Cal Raleigh's 42nd home run —MLB leader— and the debut run scored by Venezuelan Eugenio Suárez. Jorge Polanco, from the Dominican Republic, also scored in the victory. For Texas, Cuban Adolis García and Mexican Rowdy Téllez each had a hit, while Venezuelan Luis Curvelo pitched two scoreless innings in his debut.
