“I fear for my life”: young person denounces their parents for denying them access to their home in Constanza

Constanza, La Vega. – Angélica Carolina Bello, 36 years old, reported this Tuesday what she described as an act of negligence by the judicial authorities, because an order of protection against her parents, David Bello Peña and Dulce María Fajardo Soriano, has not yet been executed, who refuse to give her their home, despite the fact that she claims to have all the documentation that accredits her as owner. Bello, who currently resides in the United States, explained that she returned to the Dominican Republic with the aim of living in her house in Constanza. However, she recounted that her parents have prevented her from entering the property, forcing her to stay first at a neighbor's residence and, subsequently, to rent an apartment for the extended period.

The complainant showed documents that allegedly include the property title and other legal certifications, while the case is in court. According to the Land Court, the main trial was set for January 19, 2026, in order to definitively determine the measure to be applied to the property.

Fear for their safety

Angelica warned that she fears for her life, as there is a history of violent acts and homicides in her family, which makes her feel vulnerable in the face of the situation. “I just want my right to enter my home to be respected. I don't understand why the authorities haven't enforced the order. I feel unprotected and fear something will happen to me,” she expressed with concern. The woman requested judicial and police authorities to execute the decisions already made in the process and guarantee her personal safety, as the trial date approaches.
