A 91-year-old Catalan man has become a father again, surprising those around him and generating debate about the limits of fatherhood at an advanced age. Pierre Sablé recently celebrated the birth of his daughter Louisa María, the result of his relationship with Aïcha, 39 years old.
The little one, who is currently seven months old, joins an extensive family marked by a notable generational difference: her siblings range in age from 60 years old to their thirties. Sablé was already the father of six children, all from different mothers, including one who passed away. His daughters are named Carole, Julie, Pauline, Céleste, and Jeanne.
In statements to the French newspaper L’Indépendant, the nonagenarian reviewed his family and sentimental history. “After my other women, Liliane gave me Carole, who is now 60 years old. Ten years later, Eliane gave birth to Julie. Then came Corinne, sadly deceased, who gave birth to Pauline 35 years ago. Céleste, 30, was the fourth. With Fabienne, Jeanne was born, 24, equestrian jumping champion. And for the last seven months, my little Louisa María and her dazzling smile have brightened my old age as much as her mother, whom I met three years ago at the foot of the Pyrenees slopes”, he related.
Despite the age difference with his current partner, Sablé assured that his relationships have always been consensual. "Each time I've had a child with a different woman, almost always about fifteen years younger than me... There has always been mutual consent!" he stated. You can also read: Catalan ex-president Carles Puigdemont arrested in Italy | De Último Minuto | Dominican Republic News
“I'm alive!”
The arrival of Louisa María has revived questions about her age and the time she will be able to share with her youngest daughter. However, Sablé himself responds with philosophy: "They will say it is exceptional. Perhaps. That is not my problem. I am alive!" Catalan attributes its vitality to an active lifestyle. He practices trail marathons, works the land, and engages in activities such as skiing, snowboarding, and cycling. He claims to maintain excellent physical fitness and continues to compete in races in the over-80 age categories. He has completed marathons in cities like Rome, New York, and Los Angeles, demonstrating that age hasn't dampened his enthusiasm. He even allowed himself a joke when comparing his case to that of actor Robert De Niro, who became a father at 82: "I feel like writing to him: 'I've given you a beating. Sorry, old man.'" Meanwhile, the arrival of Louisa María marks a new chapter in the life of Pierre Sablé, who claims to be living this stage with energy, conviction, and optimism.Source: INFOBAE
