Case "Sister Hong": A man disguises himself as a woman and secretly records 237 victims in China

China.- A 38-year-old man, identified as Jiao, was arrested by the Nanjing Police, in eastern China, after posing as a woman under the alias Sister Hong or "Red Sister" and secretly recording 237 men.

The defendant used a wig, makeup, women's clothing, and voice modifiers to deceive his victims by recording the sexual encounters without their consent and then spreading the images on social media such as WeChat, QQ, Momo, Telegram, Reddit, Douyin, and X. According to the authorities, the reason at first was not economic, but when Jiao discovered that the men were willing to send him offerings, he began to charge for the encounters. The case that has sparked a scandal in the country and erupted after the public denunciation of a fitness influencer who, after seeing his own images published online, called the Police. "My life is a disaster and I am ready to leave Nanjing and move to another city," he told his followers. Jiao was arrested by Nanjing police on July 5, 2025, and faces charges of distribution of obscene material and violation of privacy, while the investigation continues.
