United Petroleum announces support for the relaunch of the Road Safety Children's Park in Ciudad Juan Bosch

Santo Domingo — United Petroleum announced its support for the renovation and relaunch of the Road Safety Children's Park located in Ciudad Juan Bosch, an initiative developed in coordination with the National Institute of Transit and Land Transportation (INTRANT) and its executive director, Ing. Milton Morrison. This support reflects the company's and its CEO, Juan Tomás Díaz's, commitment to road safety, prevention, and the training of new generations that are more aware and responsible on public roads.

During the announcement, Juan Tomás Díaz highlighted that "the company is a firm believer in prevention", and called on all entrepreneurs in the transportation sector to join in supporting and building a culture of responsible mobility, and thereby mitigate the expenses represented by the high rates of traffic accidents for the Dominican Republic. "From United Petroleum we believe in the strength of joint work between the public sector and the private sector to achieve real changes; this is not only a responsibility of the State, but a commitment from all of us as a society", he pointed out.

As part of the agreement, United Petroleum will assume an annual contribution of RD$1,500,000.00 for a period of five years, destined for the refurbishment, adaptation and general conditioning of the children's park, guaranteeing interventions aligned to the most priority needs of the educational enclosure. The project also includes the adaptation of thematic educational spaces designed to reinforce the understanding of the basic elements of transit and safe mobility. These environments will allow children to interact with simulated situations that promote practical learning and prevention. Likewise, the program will include awareness-raising sessions, specialized prevention talks, and the drafting of safeguarding policies for children and adolescents, with the support of the organization specializing in children's rights Save the Children Dominicana, strengthening the educational and social impact of the park.

For his part, the director of INTRANT, Ing. Milton Morrison, positively valued this commitment by expressing that "the social responsibility assumed by Mr. Juan Tomás Díaz and the entire United Petroleum team demonstrates the real impact generated by the alliances between the State and the private sector. This contribution will allow us to continue strengthening children's road education and represents an important step towards reducing accidents and training more conscious citizens".
