"Jakobi Meyers is staying. The receiver acquired mid-season agreed to terms to remain on the team for the next three years," the Jaguars stated in an official statement. With this new agreement, Meyers will receive an average of 20 million dollars per season. The 29-year-old player arrived in the NFL as an undrafted free agent in 2019 with the New England Patriots, a franchise where he played until 2022. For the 2023 season, he signed with the Las Vegas Raiders, where he established himself as the team's number one receiver. Since joining Jacksonville, the Jaguars have a record of five wins and one loss, in addition to raising their offensive average to 31.8 points per game, a figure that places them as the second-best offense in the NFL.
