The U.S. National Hurricane Center (NHC) reported this Saturday on the formation of Tropical Storm Fernand, located about 665 kilometers south of the Bermuda islands.
In its first bulletin, the agency indicated that Fernand is moving north at a speed of 24 kilometers per hour, with maximum sustained winds of 65 km/h and gusts exceeding that speed.

The forecasts indicate that the system could strengthen in the next 48 hours and reach hurricane category during Monday. However, the NHC warned that from Tuesday the storm would begin a weakening process. The authorities are constantly monitoring its evolution and recommended caution in the western Atlantic region.
