Santo Domingo.– Residents of the Juan Rafael Residential, located on Jacobo Majluta Avenue, denounced the critical situation they have faced for years with the supply of contaminated water that reaches their homes, which puts their health at risk and limits the development of basic daily activities. According to reports, the water they receive is not suitable for human consumption or domestic tasks, a situation they describe as "a direct attack on the quality of life of the families that inhabit the complex". The community asserted that they have filed complaints on several occasions, but to date they have not obtained a definitive solution and directly pointed as responsible to Constructora Bisonó and the Corporación del Acueducto y Alcantarillado de Santo Domingo (CAASD), who, according to them, have known the problem for years without providing effective responses.

"We demand that the competent authorities and responsible companies assume their obligation and guarantee a clean and safe water service for our families. We cannot continue living with the uncertainty and health risk that opening the tap in our homes represents," residents expressed in a video sent to this newsroom. The affected residents reiterated their urgent call to the public health authorities, as well as to the Ministry of Housing and Buildings, to intervene and follow up on this case which, they claim, can no longer wait.
