Senate signs inter-institutional collaboration agreement with UNICARIBE

Santo Domingo.- The Senate of the Republic and the Universidad del Caribe (UNICARIBE) signed an inter-institutional collaboration agreement that establishes the basis for developing joint activities in the academic, research, training and cultural dissemination areas. As part of this alliance, the Upper House will receive technical and strategic support from the academic institution, with the aim of strengthening its institutional development and expanding the training opportunities for its collaborators. During the signing ceremony, the President of the Senate, Ricardo de los Santos, encouraged the institution's staff to make the most of this agreement. “There is no better investment than dedicating time to studies, because the greatest wealth of every human being is knowledge”, also stating that employees have strengthened their academic training, which has allowed them to take on new responsibilities and climb positions within the institution.

Collaboration will be developed through academic and continuing education programs, both in-person and blended and virtual, as well as through research, extension activities, postgraduate studies, courses, seminars, workshops, diplomas, conferences, and other initiatives of mutual educational interest. The rector of UNICARIBE, Dr. Emilio Mínguez Torres, expressed his satisfaction with the signing of the agreement and noted that "It is an honor to be able to sign this agreement that opens new training opportunities, with all the educational program that UNICARIBE makes available to Dominican society". Mínguez highlighted that the academy's virtual platform is one of the most powerful in the country, with sustained growth in recent months, which will allow Senate collaborators to access classes with flexibility and continuity, 365 days a year.
