The offensive by the team was led by Manny Peña and Rafael Lantigua, who drove in two runs each, guiding a six-run rally in the first inning that set the course of the game from the very beginning. With the victory, the Bulls improve their record to "20-16", firmly holding the second position in the tournament with a 3.5-game lead. In addition, they secure at least a tie in the Cane Series (5-4) against a Stars team that falls to "16-21", after losing both games of the miniseries.

Dominant Bullpen and Historic Streak

The bullpen of bullfighters once again took center stage, stringing together 16 consecutive innings without allowing runs in the miniseries, adding Friday's shutout and seven more zeros in this encounter. In the last three games between the two teams, the Estrellas have only been able to score two runs against the orange pitching. The triumph went to Greg Minier (1-0), who worked two scoreless innings with one hit, one walk, and two strikeouts. The loss fell to Marcos Diplan (0-1), punished with four runs without being able to record a single out in the first inning.

Decisive Rally in the First Inning

The Bulls attacked mercilessly at the start of the game:
  • Manny Peña hit a single to right field with the bases loaded, driving in two runs.
  • Jeimer Candelario followed with another run-scoring hit for 3-0.
  • Rafael Lantigua hit a long double to center field that drove in two more.
  • Tres Barrera closed the rally with a sacrifice fly that put the score at 6-0.

The Bulls Keep Adding

In the sixth episode, Ruddy Martin hit a double that brought Tres Barrera to the plate, and later scored thanks to a hit by Allan Castro, extending the lead to 8-0. The Estrellas scored in the eighth with a double by pinch hitter José Tena, but in the ninth the Toros added another run when Martin hit his second double of the game and scored on a groundout by Alfredo Marte for the final 9-1.
