Santo Domingo.- A spectacular accident occurred this Friday afternoon on the 6 de Noviembre highway when a passenger bus belonging to the Asociación de Minibuses de Baní (Asomiba) slid and overturned after breaking the safety railings.
According to preliminary reports, the vehicle was heading south of the country at the time of the accident. Immediately, units from the National Emergency System 9-1-1, DIGESETT, firefighters, and medical teams went to the scene to provide assistance to the passengers.

So far, the number of injured and their condition has not been confirmed, while the authorities are working to determine the causes of the accident. Witnesses reported that the road was slippery due to the rains caused by Tropical Storm Melissa, which may have contributed to the vehicle's skidding.
