Bogotá. – Colombian artists generated approximately 98 million dollars in revenue for the platform Spotify during the year 2024, according to the annual Loud & Clear report presented by the Swedish company.
According to Manuela Echeverry, head of artist and record label relations for the Andean region at Spotify, 98% of those revenues come from music made in Spanish, reflecting the strong presence of the language in global consumption.

The report also highlighted that reproductions of Colombian music worldwide have grown more than 70 times in the last decade, with more than nine million daily hours dedicated to artists from the country. In addition, the number of Colombian musicians earning more than 50 million pesos annually (about $12,000) on the platform has multiplied by eleven since 2019. During 2024, Spotify contributed $10 billion to music recordings globally, surpassing by more than ten times what the world's largest record store contributed in the CD era. The platform currently has 678 million users, of whom 22% are in Latin America.
