Multimedia expansion and printed and English versions of the digital newspaper De Último Minuto
In August 2022, De Último Minuto expanded its reach with the creation of De Último Minuto TV, an audiovisual division that brings together television, radio, and podcast programs. Among the most prominent are Noticias De Último Minuto, A la Clara con Ramón Tolentino, Una Copa con Giselle, Más De Un Minuto and Politikal. These contents are broadcast through cable channels such as Wind Telecom, Telecable Central, Telecable Puerto Plata, Cablevisión, Color Cable and Bloom Telecom. In April 2024, the media outlet took another important step by launching its print version, with monthly circulation throughout the national territory. This physical edition —which also circulates in the city of New York— offers investigative reports, data journalism, and special features that stand out for their depth and documentary value, reaffirming the commitment to the ethical and transformative exercise of journalism. Shortly thereafter, in August 2024, a strategic alliance was signed with the El Seis channel, allowing the broadcast on open signal of several of its news spaces and expanding its presence in homes throughout the country.In June 2025, the digital newspaper De Último Minuto innovated again by launching its English version, along with a mobile application of the latest generation, the first in the country and in the region with artificial intelligence integration. This tool allows to offer personalized news, automated summaries, content translation and real-time information assistance, positioning the media as a leader in technology applied to journalism in Latin America.
Recognitions and Awards
The sustained evolution and focus on information quality of the Dominican newspaper De Último Minuto have been recognized by various national and international institutions. Among the awards and distinctions received are:- Journalism Award for Children 2025, awarded to journalist Dalton Herrera by World Vision International for his report “The invisibility of orphans due to femicide”.
- Glamour Music Awards 2024, in the category Digital Variety Portal of the Year.
- National Social Chronicle Award 2024, awarded to director Héctor Romero by the Dominican Association of Social Chroniclers (ADCS).
- National Digital Journalism Award 2024, in the category Best native digital newspaper, awarded by the Dominican Digital Media Observatory.
- Glamour Music Awards 2024, in the category Digital Radio Announcer of the Year, also awarded to Ramón Tolentino by Yudelki Rosa and Dominick Liriano.
- Epifanio Lantigua National Tourism Journalism Award 2022, in the category Television or YouTube Report, awarded to journalist Cristian Santana Peña for his work “The Murals of Ciudad Nueva”, awarded by Adompretur.

- El Nuevo Diario: Founded on May 8, 1981, El Nuevo Diario is one of the main newspapers of national circulation in the Dominican Republic.
